The government will allocate 12 billion rubles for the modernization of housing and communal services in the regions in 2024

In 2024, 12 billion rubles will be allocated for the modernization of municipal infrastructure systems in the regions. The decree was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
Federal funding will allow, among other things, to upgrade engineering networks, as well as repair boiler houses and sewage treatment plants. This, in turn, will reduce accidents and improve the quality of public services provided to residents.
“Thanks to such support, Russian entities will be able to modernize utility networks more effectively, which is important for citizens,” Mikhail Mishustin said during a meeting with deputy prime ministers on February 26.
Funds for the renewal of engineering networks will be provided to the regional authorities by the public law company “Territorial Development Fund” – it has been selected as the operator of this support program.
The work is being carried out within the framework of the program for the modernization of municipal infrastructure until 2027. It was approved by the Government in December 2022 on behalf of the President and became part of the federal project “Infrastructure Menu”.
According to Mikhail Mishustin, during the implementation of the federal project “Infrastructure Menu”, its tools have proven their effectiveness. With their help, not only housing and communal services facilities are repaired or put into operation in the regions every year, but also kindergartens, schools, roads are put in proper condition, and public transport is being updated.
